Our Ministries

SUPERINTENDENT

The primary Regional resource for both pastors and churches is the ministry of the Regional Superintendent. His ministry covers a variety of areas and is both self initiated and responsive. The majority of his time is given to responding to initiatives from pastors and churches.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Developing leaders needs to be the heartbeat of every pastor and each church!  We believe this with our whole heart and have made it the main focus of ministry in the Region.  Without mature disciples who are willing to follow the Lord in various ministries, we will not be able to continue as an association of churches in the days to come.

PASTORAL HEALTH

The role of the Eastern Regional Pastoral Health Team, in concert with the individual conferences, is to encourage spiritual health by means of supportive pastoral relationships and by making available substantive resources to our pastors and their advocates that will enable them to facilitate their own pastoral health as they serve to facilitate the health of the local church.

CHURCH PLANTING

We need to focus on the planting of new churches. For various reasons, this has fallen off of the radar of many of our people. We need to get beyond these excuses and find ways to begin new works. Churches have life cycles, just like human beings, and without new birth, it is just a matter of time for us here in the Northeast. Contact Adrian Dixon (adixon@acgc.us) for more information.

CHURCH REVITALIZATION

Our mission statement as an organization is to be a “Growing Network of Healthy Churches”. This means that we want to see growth and health in our Leaders and Churches. For Churches this means that we intend to work at planting new works, as well as coming alongside declining churches to assist them in becoming healthier.
